How to Read Crypto Order Book Walls
A practical walkthrough using the measurements and controls available in Scalpy.
1. Find a wall worth inspecting
Open Volumes and choose a market, side and minimum wall size. Limit distance from price to keep the view relevant. A $100K resting wall is $100K of visible interest at the snapshot, not $100K of completed trades.
2. Check persistence and depth
Compare the wall age and adjacent levels. Watch whether size persists as price approaches. An order can be cancelled or moved, and the visible book may cover only part of the market.
3. Compare structure and activity
Use Patterns to inspect chart levels and Market Pulse to see executed activity. Do not equate a wall with confirmed support. Price may trade through it, stop before it or never reach it.
