Data sources and methodology

Read the source, timeframe and status alongside every market measurement.

Sources and acquisition

Workspaces use exchange market data and shared server snapshots. Supported sources include Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate, Bitget, MEXC, KuCoin, Hyperliquid, Kraken, AsterDEX, Coinbase, HTX, Lighter, APEX and Binance Alpha. Support differs by tool and market.

MEXC and KuCoin intentionally use partial live coverage. Lighter and APEX use light acquisition with delayed or partial coverage in some tools. A listed exchange is not a promise that every pair or field is available.

Freshness and missing values

LIVE, CACHE, CONNECTING, WARMING, DELAYED and PARTIAL labels describe source or workspace state. A cache is a snapshot, not a guarantee that every value is current at the moment you read it.

Missing data remains missing; it should not be read as zero. History can require completed candles, confirmed exchange events or completed UTC days.

Different measurements

Executed volume and trade count measure observed trades. Order book walls measure resting liquidity that can be cancelled. Liquidity scores summarize sampled book structure; support and resistance describe observed chart structure.

Patterns uses one assigned source per asset, with Binance Futures first, then Binance Spot. Other tools may compare distinct venue instruments. Do not assume that one source policy applies to every workspace.

Limitations

Source timestamps, exchange specifications and quote currencies differ. A ticker match alone does not establish asset identity. Compare source labels and verify the exchange record when accuracy is consequential.

Charts built from event trades can be partial until native candles arrive. A gross spread, quality score or impact label is descriptive, not a guaranteed trade outcome.
